PR 254 – The standard red for the coatings industry

Since its discovery in 1974 and commercial launch in 1986, Diketopyrrolopyrrol or DPP Red is considered by many as the last significant invention in pigment chemistry.
Although originally invented for Automotive lacquer, developments in particle size and improvements in cost has broadened the chemistry’s application areas including general industrial coatings, powder and coil coatings and even emulsion paints – low cost and high performance properties make DPP Red the standard red for the coatings industry.
